Every school situation is different
Some students follow the Portuguese curriculum from another country. Others are preparing to join a Portuguese school after a move. Others have already arrived and found subjects taught in a different order. The starting point is always the same: understanding what the student already knows and what needs work.
You don't speak Portuguese? That's okay.
Parents do not need to speak Portuguese to arrange academic support for a child studying within the Portuguese education system. We can communicate with international families in English and help identify the kind of support the student needs.

- The language used during lessons depends on the subject, the teacher and what the student needs — we do not promise that every teacher teaches in English.
- Your child does not need to be Portuguese. Nationality is never a requirement.
A learning path, not a package of hours
Educra is not a directory of tutors. We speak with the family first, try to understand the student's school context, and only then suggest how support should work. Because lessons are online, geography no longer limits which teacher a family can work with.

- Yes. Lessons are online, so your child can be anywhere. What we agree with the family is a schedule that works for both sides.
- I don't speak Portuguese. Can I still communicate with Educra?
- Yes. We can communicate with families in English throughout, from the first conversation to updates on how the student is progressing.
- Does my child need to be Portuguese?
- No. Nationality is never a requirement. What matters is the student's school situation and the curriculum they are following.
- Which subjects do you cover?
- The main subjects of the Portuguese curriculum from Year 5 to Year 12, including Mathematics, Portuguese, Physics and Chemistry, Biology and Geology, History, Geography and languages.
- Can lessons work across different time zones?
- We assess scheduling case by case, based on the availability we have. We do not promise coverage of every time zone.
